>>about harry, ron & hermione_____
if you don't know what harry potter is, you've surely been living under a rock for the last decade, at the very least. you should be ashamed-- go ahead and read, you have six books to make up for! anyway since you're here already, i'll make it brief: harry potter is a series of novels by j.k. rowling that deals with a young orphan, harry potter, discovering he can do magic, and subsequently his life in this new and exciting magical world. harry's parents were killed by a very evil wizard named lord voldemort and harry was the only one who survived the attack, with nothing to show for it except for a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead; no one really knows why, but just the fact that he did has made him famous in the wizarding world, he's "the boy who lived." harry makes a life for himself in his magical school, hogwarts, where he studies along with his two best friends, ron and hermione, and others. but lord voldemort did not die on that fateful day, and has been out to kill harry every single year. so far (up to book 6, which was the last published), harry has survived each one of those encounters and is now preparing himself to finish voldemort off for good.
hermione granger, as i said above, is one of harry's best friends. she's a bushy-haired little know-it-all who puts schoolwork above everything else. she's also incredibly intelligent, the brightest witch of her generation, and has helped harry out of more tight spots than he can count. and even if her nose is buried in books 24/7, she's truly a wonderful, caring friend and a great person.
ronald weasley is harry's best friend, and the first kid his own age he became friends with. he comes from a large magical family, with five older brothers and a younger sister, and as such has always felt a bit overshadowed by it all. they were also not very solvent, economically speaking. ron is as much your average guy as you can find, he loves sports like quidditch, doesn't like doing homework, and thinks girls are mental. he's kind of dense, loud, not very sensitive or prudent, and he's always ready with a witty or sarcastic one-liner to lighten up any mood, but he's truly a great guy and a great friend.
so far, "the golden trio's" relationship has not progressed in a "het" sense-- it seems like ron and hermione have a "will-they-or-won't-they" thing going on, but nothing concrete so far, and harry's been more interested in the goings-on with girls outside the trio anyway-- but, hey, that doesn't stop us writers from expanding their relationship in the fanfiction realm. an inexorable amount of fanfics have been written about the trio, some without any romance in them whatsoever, just their friendship, and how pure and integral it is, and some depicting relationships between the three, particularly in the het realm. they're all some of the best, most enthralling and deep fanfiction stories out there, and we're proud of it.
>>about the fanlistings______
a fanlisting is, as described by its creator, janine, a "a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor/actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject." in this case, it's a list of fans of harry, ron & hermione het OR gen (or both!) fanfiction. for more information, just visit the website ^^
>>about "we'll be there"_____
the site was created by
carla, and is part of the
mighty network (*nudgenudge* please visit! ^.~ *nudgenudge*). it's done in tables and div layers, and should work for any resolution above 800x600. the name of the site comes from a quote from the sixth HP book, half-blood prince, where ron (and hermione, too, of course) tells harry they'll be with him no matter what happens in the future.
