i'm pretty sure if you're here, you've heard of neon genesis evangelion, but i'll humor you and make a recap. NGE is an anime series created by the studio gainax and directed by hideaki anno, in which, to be short, the world is ending. yep, you heard right. in the year 2000 there was a huge explosion known as the second impact which killed about half the population, and to make things worse fifteen years after that these awful alien-like creatures called angels are attacking the earth, wanting to create a third impact. this organization called nerv created the biological mechas known as evangelions to defeat the angels. the evas, though are piloted by fifteen-year-olds like ikari shinji, sohryu asuka langley and ayanami rei, who have led screwy lives and are psychologically scarred forever by the experience in the world of eva. we follow the lives of these pilots and the people around them as they fight for the survival of mankind. sounds pretty screwed up, doesn't it? well, you bet fanfiction about this series is gonna be awesome ^^
